Behaviour Education and Management

AFRIB recognizes that positive behaviour is key to individual and community wellbeing. We:

  • Train educators, caregivers, and community leaders on effective behaviour management strategies for different age groups and cultural contexts.
  • Conduct research on behaviour change techniques relevant to African settings.

Psychological and Social Research and Intervention

AFRIB takes a holistic approach to mental health by understanding the interplay between psychological and social factors. We:

  • Conduct research on mental health challenges prevalent in various African communities.
  • Develop culturally sensitive interventions for mental health promotion, prevention, and treatment.
  • Collaborate with policymakers to advocate for stronger mental health systems across Africa.

Mental Health and Psychosocial Support:

AFRIB recognizes the importance of accessible mental health services and psychosocial support. We:

  • Build capacity within communities to identify and address mental health concerns.
  • Train healthcare professionals on delivering culturally appropriate mental health services.
  • Advocate for increased access to mental health resources, including crisis hotlines and counselling services.

 

Addiction and Substance Use Prevention, Treatment, and Rehabilitation:

AFRIB addresses the challenges of addiction and substance use through a multi-pronged approach:

Develop and Support Psychosocial, Socio-Cultural and Socio-Economic Advancement Programs, Empowerment Activities and Implementation:
